Cancellation Policy
At Gallant Wind Guiding, we honor your time, your money, and your spirit of adventure. Here’s what you can expect if plans change:
All Trips (Day & Overnight)
90+ days before your trip:
Full refund (minus any nonrefundable fees)
30–89 days before:
50% refund
29 days or fewer:
No refund
Deposits & Late Bookings
Group Overnight Trips:
A $400 deposit secures your spot. If you cancel after booking:
75% of your deposit is refundable
$100 of the deposit is nonrefundable, to honor the time and planning involved and encourage thoughtful commitments
Want to switch trips instead?
You can apply your full deposit toward a different group trip (if there’s space available). We’ll do our best to accommodate changes.
Late Bookings (within 29 days):
These bookings include a $200 nonrefundable expedited planning fee to cover last-minute logistics like permits, itinerary design, and prep.
If We Cancel (weather, safety, or conditions)
If we cancel due to safety, environmental, or access issues, you'll receive a full refund minus any nonrefundable costs already paid on your behalf (such as permits, campsite reservations, or hotel deposits). Typical nonrefundable costs range from $10–$30 per person, depending on the trip.
