We’ll meet in Estes Park for a thorough gear check, trip overview, and last-minute prep before heading to the Longs Peak Trailhead. From there, we’ll hike up to our high camp at Chasm Lake (~11,800 ft), surrounded by dramatic granite walls and snowfields. In camp, we’ll review the route, discuss movement strategies, and practice the basic systems needed for a smooth climb before getting an early night of sleep.
Day 2 – Summit Day
We’ll wake up early for an alpine start, climbing firm snow on one of Colorado’s most classic lines as the sun rises over the Front Range. You’ll apply snow climbing footwork, rope team travel, and movement efficiency on your way to Longs Peak’s summit (14,259 ft). We aim to descend back to camp by early afternoon for a hearty meal and well-earned rest.
Day 3 – Pack Out & Celebrate
